In a Victorian mansion on the outskirts of Gloomsville lives Ruby Gloom. Some kids might be afraid of the dark, the eccentric neighbours and the unknown things that dwell in the closet, but Ruby is different - she befriends these strange and sometimes scary creatures. Rubys perfect day is a gloomy one, full of creativity and adventure with her offbeat circle of friends. After Iris and Squig mistakenly crash into Skull Boys Tower, Skull Boy moves in with Poe until the Tower can be fixed. However, Poes many eccentricities challenge Skull Boys ability to among other things get a good nights sleep. Anxious to sleep in his own room he returns to the Tower only to find that Iris and Misery have each had a turn at redesigning his room more to their specifications than his. With bags under his eyes that come with their own Red Cap Ruby finally prevails and returns his room to its original design. And not a moment too soon.
